Points on the Flag: Week 16

11. Mike Daly, S, Hamilton Tiger-Cats (McMaster)
Stats: 1 Defensive Tackle, 1 Interception, 1 Touchdown
Daly wasn’t a busy man due to Jennings’ penchant for short routes but all he needed was one play to make an impact, jumping a short pass for his first career pick six.

10. Jesse Joseph, DT, Montreal Alouettes (UConn)
Stats: 3 Defensive Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Forced Fumble
The Alouettes battled hard against the Riders and Jesse Joseph had a noticeable impact on the game, stifling the running game and pressuring the quarterback.

9. Bo Lokombo, WLB, BC Lions (Oregon)
Stats: 4 Defensive Tackles, 1 Sack
It was far from a stellar day for the BC Lions defence but Lokombo kept battling and recorded the Lions only sack.

8. Henoc Muamba, MLB, Montreal Alouettes (St. Francis Xavier)
Stats: 5 Defensive Tackles, 1 Interceptions
Muamba continues to be the heart of the Alouettes defence and played a key role in keeping the Roughriders within reach.

7. Darius Ciraco, RG, Hamilton Tiger-Cats (Calgary)
Stats: 110 Team Rushing Yards
Ciraco has been an unsung hero throughout his rookie season but his performance against BC was a true feather in his cap. He kept his quarterback clean and executed some beautiful weakside traps to open up holes for John White.

6. Chris Ackie, WLB, Montreal Alouettes (Wilfrid Laurier)
Stats: 8 Defensive Tackles
Ackie made tackles all over the field in a tight loss to Saskatchewan.

5. Taylor Loffler, S, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (UBC)
Stats: 4 Defensive Tackles, 1 Special Teams’ Tackle, 1 Interception
The hard-hitting Bombers’ safety led his secondary in a smothering of the Eskimos and added his first interception of the season.

4. Ted Laurent, DT, Hamilton Tiger-Cats (Mississippi)
Stats: 2 Defensive Tackles, 2 Sacks
Laurent ate the Lions offensive line alive and lived in the backfield with Jonathan Jennings in a true butt-kicking.

3. Juwan Brescacin, SB, Calgary Stampeders (Northern Illinois)
Stats: 5 Receptions, 64 Yards, 1 Touchdown
Brescacin has become a key target for Bo Levi Mitchell amidst a decimated receiving core.

2. Alex Singleton, MLB, Calgary Stampeders (Montana State)
Stats: 9 Defensive Tackles
What else can be said about Singleton? The monster in the middle of Calgary’s defence does nothing except dominate.

1. Andrew Harris, RB, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (Vancouver Island Raiders)
Stats: 20 Carries, 73 Yards, 4 Receptions, 24 Yards, 1 Touchdown
Harris ground it out on the ground late in the game and made it impossible for Edmonton to come back in a dominant Winnipeg performance.
